Nhat Hanh: That is the environment people live in. But with a practice, we can always remain alive in the present moment. With mindfulness, you can establish yourself in the present in order to touch the wonders of life that are available in that moment. It is possible to live happily in the here and the now. So many conditions of happiness are available—more than enough for you to be happy right now. You don’t have to run into the future in order to get more.
Today I made a decision to let some things go. I’ve been holding onto some grudges & I came to the realization that it wasn’t getting me anywhere. There’s no reason to hold on, holding on only made me more angry, feel more sorry and think poorly of good things. No one is perfect. I’m certainly not. I’ve been blessed with people who adore me. Sometimes those people leave, sometimes it’s sad when they leave. Sometimes though-they stick or they come back later. And new people come along. I tell my clients: life is about relationships-we sink or swim based on our relationships.
